Una vez terminados los cursos de formación, el proyecto ha entrado ya en su segunda fase. Esto significa que se están impartiendo en inglés algunas clases.
Empezamos en diciembre con la asignatura de Matemáticas Académicas en 3º de ESO.
El tema escogido fue “Ecuaciones” y la valoración tanto por parte de la profesora como de los alumnos implicados ha sido positiva. En 2º de ESO se inicia la experiencia en enero, también en matemáticas y, en este caso, tratando el tema de “Expresiones Algebraicas”. De momento no parece haber más problemas que los habitualmente asociados a esta asignatura, los alumnos están respondiendo bien. Por último acabamos de empezar en 1º de ESO el tema de “El Clima”. En los pocos días que llevamos con ello ya vemos que el trabajo puede ser muy positivo y gratificante para todos.
¡Esto no ha hecho nada más que empezar! Creemos que a partir de ahora se podrá ir incrementando el número de alumnos que participen activamente en este proyecto de plurilingüismo, así como el número de horas que, en cada grupo, se puedan dedicar a un aprendizaje combinado de contenidos y lengua extranjera.
WE ARE ALREADY TEACHING IN ENGLISH
Once the formative courses are over, the project has entered into its second phase, where some lessons are being taught in English.
We started in December with the subject “Matemáticas Académicas” in 3rd of ESO, specifically with the unit “Equations”. The response from both students and teachers has been positive. In January the same process was initiated in 2nd of ESO. The subject was also mathematics, teaching the unit “Algebraic Expressions” in English. So far we have not spotted more trouble than the usual ones when it is taught in Spanish. Finally, we have just started in 1st of ESO with the topic “The Climate”. In the few days that the project has been going on for this class we already observe that it can be very positive and gratifying for everyone involved.
However, this project has just taken off! We believe that from now on the number of students who will actively participate in this plurilingual project can be increased. In addition, we may also see an uptrend in the number of hours dedicated to an integrated learning of contents and a foreign language.
